"Understated elegance with a generous dollop of whimsy" is, perhaps, the best phrase to use about this luxurious holiday home.

When my Office Manager Stefani said this was, by far, the best vacation rental home she has ever seen, I thought she was exaggerating.

When my wife Karin, who is co-owner of Florida Dream Homes, kept talking about how wonderful this home is, I thought she was obsessing.

Then I saw it for myself.

The photos do not begin to adequately capture the comfort of the two dual adjustable king beds. The video cannot fully communicate the luxury of the granite countertops, the marble backsplash or marble tabletops. The floor plan does not come close to giving you the experience of your kids playing on the dollhouse bunk bed or enjoying the Ipod speaker beds in the prince/teen/tweens room.

This home was completed in July of 2009 and has been personally decorated by the owner. Being from Norway, she contends that Norwegians have to live indoors for so many months of the year they naturally focus on making their homes cozy, comfortable, fun and charming. And the whimsy? Honestly, where else can you find alligators spooning in a tastefully decorated queen suite, or a frog that actually ribets while keeping an eye on your toothbrush? Even the safety features offer a bit of whimsy--would you like chimes or a buzzer to let you know that the younger generation is heading for the pool? And while the poolside towel trees look like street signs pointing every which way, they are always on duty to serve you.

The owner searched a myriad of stores and markets in the US and Norway to find the exact furniture and accessories needed to optimize this European-style executive home in the hope that it will provide the very best vacation home experience, not only for her family and friends, but also for vacationers from around the globe.

The location is wonderful-just minutes from Disney World, yet peacefully set back in the corner of a quiet subdivision; right on a small lake that skirts a wildlife conservation area. The diversity of the flora and fauna is impressive--especially the birds. Can you imagine yourself lying back in the pool watching the eagles soar high above the palm trees, or having to stop as the tortoise crosses the road when you are returning from one of the theme parks or a nearby golf course? By the way, the house is literally just five minutes from Champions Gate, with its famous golf academies and three world-class golf courses designed by golf legends Greg Norman, Jack Nicklaus and Arnold Palmer. As if that weren't enough, there are no fewer than 50 other beautiful Florida golf courses within 30 minutes of the house.

If you are a racing car enthusiast, the house is just over an hour from both Sebring and Daytona. The Gulf of Mexico and the Atlantic are just 60 miles/100 km away, so in just a little over an hour you can be at the gorgeous sandy white beaches on the Gulf coast or visit the incredible sights at Cape Kennedy/Canaveral Space Center. Maybe you can even witness the launch of a space shuttle.

Bringing you back down to earth, our gadget-freak owner has also included some important little touches such as high-speed wireless internet, a charging station for all your electronic devices, under-and-over cabinet lighting in the fully equipped kitchen (yes the coffee machine is equipped with a universal filter), no fewer than six flat screen HD TVs, safety sensors on the doors to the pool area, etc. A safe is provided for your convenience. Select your own combination and rest assured that your passports and valuables will still be there when you return from your day of fun.

Then there are the little touches of elegant luxury that will help make your holiday memorable. You'll know what I mean when you are reclining on one of the two dual adjustable king size beds in the master suites with your head elevated to watch your favorite movie in full HD and your legs elevated to give those feet a treat after a day at Sea World or Disney. Why not run on the massage function to top off that decadent holiday feeling? You'll also love showering under the dual shower heads (ranging from rain forest mist to massage pulses), soaking in one of the two soaking tubs (don't forget the romance-the tubs are big enough for two adults), swimming in the large fully south-facing pool, relaxing in the spa that overlooks the lake, perfecting your golf swing or your bowling skills on the Wii game station, observing Kevin Costner's beard grow as you enjoy the amazing detail of Blu Ray movies, listening to the peels of laughter coming from the princess room as your little ones get ready to stage a puppet show for you from their secret hiding place,... Careful, you might just forget about your laptop and cell phone. In fact, after enjoying the Florida sunshine and all the house or the parks or the links have to offer all day long, you may be ready to kick back on a comfy lounge chair, accompanied by your better half, icy cold refreshments in hand. Let your senses take over as you listen to the hypnotic sounds of the loons, watch the soaring flight of the eagles, laugh at the funny egrets that scurry past the house, hear the crunchy noise of an armadillo or raccoon munching in the distance, and feel the cool breeze blowing under the spectacular radiance of the setting sun. It will be back tomorrow--you can count on that in the Sunshine State!

This home is perfect for putting your worries aside and letting your sense of sheer pleasure and enjoyment reign free. The house can accommodate one to 12 people, meaning it is well-suited for even two or three families or generations. Yet, romantic couples will enjoy the peace and solitude it offers.

The community is located just a few minutes from a Publix full service grocery and 24 Hour Pharmacy/Sundry shop. There are also many restaurants from fast food to fine dining, home improvement stores, mini-golf, Sam's Club, Costco, BJ's, and numerous other quaint attractions very close by.

A Disney Exit is only 7.5 miles away. Sea World, Universal, and the Convention Center are approx. 15 minutes beyond that. We are also perfectly situated between Disney and the new Legoland located on the site of the old Cypress Gardens--The original Florida attraction!
Four major waterparks and hundreds of less well-known attractions are all within a short drive of your home.
The Atlantic Coast Beaches, like Cocoa Beach or Daytona Beach are only about an hour to the east.
The Gulf Coast Beaches around Tampa/St. Petersburg are only about an hour to the west.

All rentals require a one-time $78 booking fee and $100 non-refundable deposit, which is applied to your reservation. When your booking is processed, those taken for arrival during peak season will have an additional $100 non-refundable deposit and those taken for an arrival during Holiday season will have an additional $200 non-refundable deposit immediately added to your credit card.
Final payment will be charged to your credit card 30 days prior to arrival (60 days for arrivals during Holiday season) unless an alternate form of final payment is made in advance.
